LED neon: interior
The LED industry has also developed variations that resemble neon lighting.
We distinguish between interior and exterior applications
Indoor LED neon is made of flexible silicone tubes with integrated leds, and are most often mounted on a panel (usually acrylic). The tubes are approximately 8 mm thick and illuminate 180° (i.e. towards the front and to the sides) and operate at low voltage 12V.
Different colors are possible: red, blue, green, amber, cool white (+-6000K), warm white (+-3000K), but also in RGB so you can create and even animate all possible colors with a controller. You can also use different colors together in one design.
LED neon: exterior
Outdoor LED neon is made of hard tubes which can be mounted ‘individually’ on a wall or panels, or for example on or in boxletters (as with traditional neon).
The tubes are approximately 12 mm thick and illuminate 180° (i.e. towards the front and to the sides) and operate at low voltage 12V or 24V.
Up to 300+ different colors are possible.
This technique is perfect for outdoor use, even possible underwater!
