Texts and logos can be milled or lasered in different materials depending on the material type and size. Below is an overview of available materials, thicknesses, finishes, mounting options and available materials.
Available materials
PVC
Hard foam PVC (‘Forex’) in thicknesses of 2,3,5,10 and 19 mm
The standard color is white, but also available in different standard colors in 3 mm thickness.
Note : colored forex is not recommended for outdoor use.
Acrylic
PMMA (Plexiglass) in thicknesses of 2,3,4,5,8,10,15,20,30 mm
Available in transparent, opal white, white and various colors.
We use as standard Rohm plexiglass.
Aluminum sandwich panels
‘Dibond’ panels (external aluminum layers and polyethylene core) 3 mm thick.
Available in a number of standard colors and also in a brushed stainless steel look.
Aluminium
Fully aluminum letters with thicknesses from 1 to 20 mm
Stainless steel
Stainless steel in different thicknesses (on request).
Available in ‘raw’ stainless steel or in brushed or polished version (mirror shine).
milling or laser
Depending on the application, the letters are lasered or milled. For example, small letters or logos with small details will preferably be lasered. With acrylic, the laser has the advantage that the edges are also polished. Only PVC cannot be lasered.
paint
All materials can be ordered raw or painted in a RAL or NCS color of your choice.
Aluminum and stainless steel are usually powdercoated, other materials are finished with normal paint.
Note: Powder coating is in standard RAL colors.
installation
Possible mounting material:
– double-sided adhesive tape (type depending on application)
– distance holders (various options depending on materials and applications)
A placement template is always included. By default it is a drawing on paper, but also possible in vinyl or a milled PVC template.
